A new junior club formed for the 2019/2020 season. Based in the South Staffordshire City of Lichfield, our pride has evolved from other clubs and a desire to do things that benefits players the most. We only do positive!
We promote a tight knit team, fun environment and operate in keeping with the principles of the FA Respect Programme. Every penny of subs is ploughed back into our team whether it be for the football or fun days out on team building days at places like Drayton Manor fun park or attending Premiership games together.
All our volunteers are DBS checked (police checked) and the club will launch with a full array of club roles such as FA qualified Welfare Officers with all volunteers will having also successfully completed FA Safeguarding courses.
We believe that football should be for all and work to develop every player in our charge.

Team spirit is one of the cornerstones of our club - playing for each other and learning the great game with qualified FA coaches in a fun and encouraging environment. You'll not hear our managers screaming at our players about what they've done wrong but you will hear our players praised for what they do well and the effort they put in.
We wholeheartedly believe in the development of players and that their best is always yet to come.
"I don't see how people can tell someone that is 16 years old that they are not good enough or they are good enough when they still have another five years of growing time. Who knows if that's the age their best ability is going to come out" Jamie Vardy, England and Leicester City
We regard the safeguarding of our players, and both their behaviour, and the behaviour of others towards them, of primary importance. At our home games you will always see a Respect line in place encouraging team supporters to give the children space to play and you will always see our Respect Marshall and Linesmen highly visible in their appropriate vests. We do not tolerate foul language or aggressive behaviour from any children or adults attending our games. Lichfield Lions encourage the best possible environment for our team and for, and from, all visiting teams too.
"Our motto is 'Omnia possibilia'. It means 'All things are possible' and that is what we teach our young people - to believe in themselves and their team mates. We do this by ensuring they have fun as they learn and in accordance with the FA Respect programme guidelines."
